Igniting Ambition: On Your Bike - Film Day

Derby Market Place is the venue for this free event - a collaboration between Sinfonia Viva and Lostboys Productions which combines film, theatre and music to celebrate some of the highlights of previous Olympics. This is one of three Igniting Ambition events being staged by Derby LIVE and partners with a theme of community and interdependence.

Celebrated composer Jack Ross and four Viva musicians have written a new score working with Lostboys' Paul Smith and Ben Adams who will act the parts of swashbuckling hero Douglas Fairbanks and Charlie Chaplin in classic scenes from celebrated silent movies such as City Lights.

Between 4.00pm and 7.00pm there will be three performances on a purpose-built stage - with an element of the performance powered by bicycle generators!
