Last Night of the Proms on the Big Screen

A great night for music lovers with live relay performance on the Big Screen intermingled with live entertainment in Derby!

The Last Night of the Proms will be shown on the Big Screen direct from London's Albert Hall from 7.30pm in a fun end of summer event including local groups performing live music in Derby Market Place starting at 5.00pm. As part of the evening's on stage music introduced by BBC Radio Derby's Andy Potter, a Sinfonia Viva Wind Quintet will be performing a selection of popular, toe-tapping pieces in keeping with the celebratory mood.

The evening also features performances by the cream of the emerging talent from young people in Derby being developed through courses at Derby College, and the Derby-based award-winning Ukranian dance ensemble Hoverla.
