It is hugely refreshing to work with a professional orchestra who are so ready and willing to commit to a whole range of new and unusual creative ideas. The intimate nature of a chamber orchestra and the particular ability of the players in sinfonia ViVA enable them to perform successfully in so many musical spheres from contemporary commissions, chamber music and education work right through to the standard chamber orchestral repertoire.

The collective musical mentality of an orchestra such as sinfonia ViVA is chamber music on a large scale: combine this with the fine young conductors that sinfonia ViVA attracts and concerto playing as a soloist is a very natural and enjoyable experience.

I have had the pleasure of working on several projects with Peter Helps and sinfonia VIVA and the open-mindedness and enthusiasm that he and they exude makes sinfonia ViVA a very special musical partnership. Long may it last!
