On what makes sinfonia ViVA special...

ViVA is special because everyone is there to enjoy making music together not as individuals and the atmosphere is one for all and all for one. It is renowned for its friendliness.

On a typical day with sinfonia ViVA...

We usually rehearse for an hour and a half then have a tea break where we all catch up with our varying news, then Matthew Lax, [Concert Manager] 'eggs' us back in after 15 minutes for the rest of the rehearsal. We then have an hour's break when we either go out to a local café, restaurant or watering hole to get a snack or meal depending on the gluttony or gluttanous. Some, such as myself, to avoid rain, cold or plain miserliness bring our own sandwiches, soup, salads or whatever and we gather round on chairs and, if lucky, tables, and eat, talk, gossip and talk on mobiles for an hour! Then it's back to work for another 3 hours, and at the end of the day there is a mad dash as everyone flies out to get on the motorway to travel half an hour or up to 4 hours back home!
