Mathematical Advantage

Mathematical Advantage is the culmination of a fantastic new education project run by Grammy-nominated orchestra, Sinfonia Viva.

Looking at mathematics through the creative and technicolour lens of music, the show will feature familiar and brand new tunes created and performed by local Derbyshire schools and Derby College. These groups will be performing on stage with Sinfonia Viva, a professional Orchestra conducted by Frank Zielhorst.

With school and college students led by workshop leaders James Redwood and Raphael Clarkson, this on stage collaboration has been hugely popular and highly successful in previous years. Groups perform energetic and kinetic songs, proving that subjects like literature, physics and mathematics can be fun, rousing and undeniably inspiring.

In association with Orchestras Live and supported by Rolls-Royce, Arts Council England, Derbyshire Music Hub, Derby Museums and Derby City Council.
