Clive Nicklin - Administrator

Clive worked in education before joining sinfonia ViVA in 2003 as Administrator. Surrounded by more musical colleagues in the office, he has been famously described by the Orchestra's Principal Conductor as "the person to talk to if you want a normal conversation". Amongst his other duties, he liaises with promoters over publicity, designs print, produces programme booklets, writes the Orchestra news, edits and publishes videos, puts together information for local and national press and manages the Orchestra's website.

An alumnus of the University of Derby and the University of Nottingham, his studies include art, literature, history, psychology and law plus two years study in science. Clive has a keen interest in computers and technology that began when writing Alphacode programs on teletypes and punched tape in the heady transistorised days of the early 1970s. He moderates an IT forum, is a Linux advocate and one of 20+ members of the longest established amateur radio society on the planet. Married with two grown up children, in his spare time he likes cycling and is a member of Derby Cycling Group and the CTC.
