Jon Ashford-Smith
Head of Development
Jon joined sinfonia ViVA from Derby Playhouse where he worked in the Development Department for 2 years, raising funding from a variety of funding streams including the business sector, charitable trusts and foundations, individual donors and from statutory agencies. This was where he also gained crucial experience in Project Development and Management.
He was educated at the University of Leicester, where he obtained an MA in English Literary Research. His first taste of fundraising came with the homelessness charity Derbyshire Housing Aid, after a brief spell working in public relations.
His interests include music, literature, film, football, running and spending time with family and friends.
